Accessibility issues: Locked gate and narrow bypass at 2.4km, Narrow track at 2.5km near Smokehouse, lots of gates (many with poor hinges and latches) on Speyside Way to Nethy Bridge. Some gates on Dava Moor (none locked)
Cafes: Nethy House, Nethy Bridge; Osprey Cafe, Boat of Garten; Carrbridge Kitchen, Carrbridge (left at Carr Road)

Route description
- 0km SE down Burnfield Avenue and follow Speyside Way to Nethy Bridge
- 9.9km Right on B970 at Nethy House cafe
- 10.1km Join waymarked Speyside Way track, initially alongside road
- 10.8km Left (S) on unclassified road towards Loch Garten
- 11.0km Right on waymarked Speyside Way track
- 14.8km Cross unclassified road and continue on waymarked Speyside Way track
- 16.8km From RSPB car park cross B970 and follow NCR7 through Boat of Garten
- 19.8km Cross A95 on cycle track following off-road NCR7
- 24.9km Right on Carr Road towards Dulnain Bridge
- 33.0km Straight across A938 towards Achnahannet (CAUTION: fast traffic from both sides)
- 35.8km Through gate as road turns to gravel
- 36.5km Bear left at track fork
- 37.2km Keep right at track junction
- 38.3km Keep right at track fork
- 40.0km Right at track junction
