Speyside Way to Nethy Bridge

This is a nice route - shame about the gates! (but the cafe is really good..). The B970 is relatively quiet so makes a viable return route. The pavement on the A95 is wide enough to cycle on between the B970 junction and the A939 roundabout

Start: Burnfield Avenue, PH26 3HH

Parking: Burnfield Avenue, PH26 3HH (EV charger and accessible toilets)

Accessibility issues: Locked gate and narrow bypass at 2.4km, Narrow track at 2.5km near Smokehouse, lots of gates (many with poor hinges and latches) for remainder of route.

Cafes: Nethy House, Nethy Bridge

Route description

• 0km SE down Burnfield Avenue
• 0.2km S down South Street
• 0.4km left at Forest Road towards Anagach Wood
• 0.7km Continue through woods
• 1.3km Exit left onto Old Military Road
• 2.0km Cross Old Spey Bridge and turn right
• 2.5km Cross A95 (CAUTION: fast traffic from both directions) and follow track round back of Smokehouse
• 2.7km Join waymarked track on old railway line
• 10.0km Nethy Bridge.
